PHCC GSA Apprenticeship and Trainee Program Employer Requirements and Costs
Participation in the Plumbing Apprenticeship and Trainee Program requires:
PHCC Membership Required
Possession of a C-36 or C-20 License
Sign Employer Acceptance Agreement with the US Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship
Sign DAS-7 Employer Agreement to Train according to the Division of Apprenticeship Standards
Signed DAS-1 Apprenticeship Agreement to train according to the PHCC GSA Standards and the Division of Apprenticeship Standards
All Students: Signed ETA-671 Apprentice Agreement to train according to the PHCC GSA Standards and US Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship
Signed Agreement to meet the following minimum training contributions per apprentice/trainee per month enrolled:
Monthly minimum training contributions: $160/PHCC Member and $320/non-member for a 4-week month or $200/PHCC Member and $400/non-member for a 5-week month per apprentice/trainee enrolled. This amount may be a combination of both private and public training contributions.
Private contribution rate is currently $1/PHCC Members and $2/non-member per hour worked
Public training contribution hourly amounts are paid in accordance to the Director of Industrial relations wage determination sheets for the county where work is performed in
All training contributions for journeyman hours worked on a public works job will be made to the PHCC GSA at the rate determined by the county in which the work is performed
Annual enrollment fee for all students to be paid prior to students attending the first session of classes, along with purchase of student's first UPC or UMC Book
